This Privacy Policy describes how Wildlife Safari Tourism (Sole Proprietorship) (“we”, “us”), operator of Gir Safari (girsafari.co), collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use this Website and book a safari.

1. Information we collect

• Contact details: name, phone number and email address of the person making the booking.
• Traveller details: for each guest — name, gender, age, state/country and photo-ID type & number, which are required by the Forest Department to issue safari permits.
• Booking details: safari, date, slot, jeep type and party size.
• Payment information: processed by our third-party payment gateway. We receive a transaction status and reference; we do not collect or store your full card number, CVV or bank credentials.
• Technical data: basic log and device information for security and to operate the Website.

2. How we use your information

• To process and confirm your booking and issue/coordinate your safari permit.
• To contact you about your booking (confirmation, changes, support) via email, phone or WhatsApp.
• To process payments and refunds and to keep records as required by law.
• To improve the Website and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Payment security

Online payments are handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Card and bank data are encrypted and processed by the gateway; we never store raw card details on our servers, in line with RBI guidelines.

4. Sharing of information

We share personal information only as needed to deliver the service:

• With the Gujarat Forest Department / permit authority, to issue the safari permit (traveller names and IDs are mandatory for this).
• With our payment gateway to process the transaction.
• With service providers who help us operate (e.g. email/hosting), under confidentiality.
• Where required by law, regulation or a valid legal request.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We retain booking and transaction records for as long as necessary to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Bookings are made by adults. Where a booking includes a child traveller, the booking adult confirms they are authorised to provide that child’s details for the safari permit.
